Occupational Therapist
Kelly Kong
I am an Occupational Therapist based in Brisbane, Queensland, with experience supporting infants, children, and adults living with cerebral palsy. I am particularly passionate about early intervention, helping young children build strong foundations for movement, independence, and participation in everyday life.
I take a family-centred, practical approach to therapy, working closely with parents and caregivers to create strategies that fit naturally into daily routines. I am trained in the CO-OP (Cognitive Orientation to daily Occupational Performance) approach and hold accreditation in the Assisting Hand Assessment (AHA), supporting children to develop functional use of their hands in everyday activities.
I previously worked at The Children’s Hospital in Sydney, where I developed skills in splinting and casting as part of managing complex presentations. I also have experience in assistive technology, complex equipment prescription, and positioning.
In addition, I support children and families through school transitions, working collaboratively with educators to ensure the right supports are in place for a successful start to school.
